چکیده

Waveform inversion based on least-squares reverse time migration (LSRTM) usually involves Born modeling, which models the primary-only data. As a result, process handles only primaries and corresponding multiple elimination preprocessing of input data is required prior to imaging inversion. Otherwise, multiples left in are mapped as false reflectors, also known crosstalk, final image. At same time, developed full-wavefield (FWM) methodology can handle internal an inversion-based process. However, because it framework one-way wave equation, cannot image dips close beyond 90°. Therefore, we have aimed at upgrading LSRTM by bringing functionality FWM multiples. We inject secondary source term, used original formulation FWM, define wavefield relationship that allows modeling scattering via reflectivity. The term estimated reflectivity be injected into pressure component when simulating two-way equation using finite-difference modeling. use this modified forward model for estimating FWM-type manner validate method synthetic field containing visible

Elastic least-squares reverse time migration

Least-squares migration (LSM) can produce images with improved resolution and reduced migration artifacts. We propose a method for elastic least-squares reverse time migration (LSRTM) based on different types of imaging condition. Perturbation imaging condition leads to images for squared P and S velocity models; the displacement imaging condition crosscorrelates components of the source and re...

Elastic least-squares reverse time migration using the energy norm

We derive linearized modeling and migration operators based on the energy norm for elastic wavefields in arbitrary anisotropic media. We use these operators to perform anisotropic least-squares reverse time migration (LSRTM) and generate a scalar image that represents subsurface reflectivity without costly decomposition of wave modes. Imaging operators based on the energy norm have the advantag...

Wavefield tomography using reverse time migration backscattering

Reverse time migration backscattering contains kinematic information that can be used to constrain velocity models. The backscattering results from the correlation between forward scattered and backscattered wavefields from sharp interfaces, i.e., sediment-salt interfaces. The synchronization between these wavefields depends on the velocity of the sediment section and the correct interpretation...

Multisource Least-squares Extended Reverse-time Migration with Preconditioning Guided Gradient Method

Least-squares reverse-time migration (LSRTM) provides image of reflectivity with high resolution and compensated amplitude, but the computational cost is extremely high. One way to improve efficiency is to encode all of shot gathers into one or several super-shot gathers with designed encoding functions so as to solve a smaller number of wave-equations at each iteration. Another way is to use d...

3D acoustic least-squares reverse time migration using the energy norm

We have developed a least-squares reverse time migration (LSRTM) method that uses an energy-based imaging condition to obtain faster convergence rates when compared with similar methods based on conventional imaging conditions. To achieve our goal, we also define a linearized modeling operator that is the proper adjoint of the energy migration operator. Our modeling and migration operators use ...
